Color Dare Weekly Challenge #679

Here is this weeks Color Challenge from over at the Color Dare Weekly Challenge.  How pretty are these colors!  I swear TEAL is one of my all time favs but I'm not gonna lie, I had a rough time with this color combo.

I started off with a shade of the purple for my A2 card base.  I reached into my dies and pulled out my Scrapbook . com Postage die and used it on some really awesome paper.  I'm not sure if it was cotton or thin felt but it was pretty cool to work with.

I first inked up the white paper with my Vicki Boutin color wheel color in blue...this paper really soaks up that ink. After I inked it I die cut it and adhered it to the base.

I then reached into my plate I have on my desk of what I don't put away goes into...foreEVER it seems, and found a journaling card with that design in 2 purple shades and loved it but it had a bouquet of BRIGHT flowers on it which would not have gone with the challenge sooooo...

I reached back into my dies and grabbed a stitched circle die and die cut the same purple card stock.  I took the same paper and inked more of the VB color wheel in blue and then grabbed my Posy stamp and stamped it.  I popped it up on some thick foam tape set it aside and took the journaling card and stamped the THINKING OF YOU on the white part of the journaling card.

After that I die cut a smaller stitched circle and stamped the word YOU on it.  I adhered everything together (covering up that bright bouquet of flowers) and I was done!

Once I got the color combo that worked the card came together pretty quick and just goes to show you that even an item you don't think will work on a project you can make work!

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to click on the links to the FB page and the Blogger challenge to participate this week!
