Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with another Christmas card for February's challenge over on the The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up ! If you guys want to stay caught up on your Christmas cards for this year this is a fun way to do it! Today I'm working on Challenge #131 and made a winter village scene with penguins.
I started off by picking out papers from LaLa Land Crafts. If you have discovered her store yet you are missing out. Their papers are FABULOUS and their stamps and dies are amazing! Click on the link to go and check them out! This paper pack is called WINTER TIME and I've had so much fun using it!
After deciding on the paper I cut it to an 1/8th of an inch smaller than an A2 card and then reached into my stash for this really reach, metallic red card stock and cut it to an A2 size and adhered it both papers together.
I then downloaded some cute little penguins singing Christmas carols...or at least they look like they are.and fussy cut them. I adhered 2 to the paper and popped up the center one on foam tape for some dimension.
I reached into my stamps and dies and found a WISHING YOU A SEASON OF CHEER, from Karen Burniston. I'm not sure it turned out the way I wanted it to but I don't hate it. I then grabbed my JOYFUL RIDE stamp and die set from Scrapbookcom. I do love that wavy sentiment, it gives a bit of movement to the card. I die cut the stamp and adhered it to my card and well that it is. It all came together pretty quick!
Thanks for hanging out with me today and don't forget to head over to THE 12 MONTHS OF CHRISTMAS LINK UP HOP to see all the inspiration and play along with us!
Have a crafty, card making day!
Kimberly
