Art Journal Garden Fairy

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with 2 beautiful images from KCS Designs by Kim. The first collection is called WINGS AND WHIMSY and the other is called VINTAGE DOORWAYS.  Here is a link to her Etsy shop so you can look at all of her collections.

I love the colors in both of these collections and thought they would work magically together.  Today I used:

  • IMAGES FROM KCS DESIGNS BY KIM (ETSY)
  • 9" Wooden Circle (Dollar Tree)
  • 3" Wooden Circle (Dollar Tree)
  • Stamperia Media Stencil ( Alice in Christmas)
  • Little Birdie Matt Chalk Acrylic Paint (MUTED TEAL AND TATTERED LACE)
  • Brass and Bliss die (OPEN GREENERY)
  • Paper Studio Adhesive gems
  • Rub ons from 49 and Market (Moonlit Gardens)
  • Spellbinders flower die (PLUMERIA)
It's all about layering starting with the acrylic paints and working my way to those plumeria flowers!  I really enjoyed putting this together.  I even printed out another image from the Vintage Doors collection on a 8 1/2 x 5 rice paper and used it for some of the flowers and the 3" circle.

Thanks for hanging out with me today...I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and be creative today.

Stay Crafty!

KCS Designs - Ethereal Fairies Dream

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger  as a Design Team member with KCS Designs by Kim.  You can find all of her amazing designs over on Etsy.  Her downloads are so easy to print and fussy cut and add as a focal point to any art journal, card, tag or whatever you are making.  Here is a direct link to her shop and one to the fairies.

Today I'm using one of her Fairies from her Ethereal Fairy collection and isn't she beautiful!  These colors just called out to me, they are so soft and gorgeous I just had to use something from this collection.
I started off with a page out of my art journal.  This paper is super thick at 140lb and can take any medium I've thrown at it.  I got it off of Amazon, here is a link (no affiliation) but it's awesome to work with!

I pulled some CTMH inks in Journey and Shortbread and softly inked up the background.  I didn't want to do a heavy cover for this because the image is so soft.
After inking the background I printed the image and cut it twice with my Joy2 Cricut...oh that thing cuts so precise!  I then cut the wings off the second image so I could give the image a bit of dimension with some foam tape on the second pair of wings.

I decided that I wanted to use some fine gold embossing powder on parts of her wing and while I was at it I wanted to cover the holes with a circle of gold embossing powder just to pull that gold over and balance the page.  I set the image aside so I could finish up the background.
I went into my stencils and grabbed my Tim Holtz HOCUS POCUS stencil, that is my favorite star stencil I have and works beautifully!  I used some CTMH ink in ALMOND to stencil the background.  I then reached for my DECOART word stencil and used the words INSPIRE and DREAM and stenciled them with glitter paste in TOPAZ from DIAMOND PRESS.

I let that dry and then reached into my 49 and Market rub ons from the SUMMER PORCH ESSENTIALS, I loved that saying from and the colors were spot on.   I used a couple of more rub ons from that collection and then pulled some bits and pieces from the MOONLIT GARDEN cluster kit.  I love when 2 collections work so well together!

I placed her at the top right corner and adhered her down and added those second pair of wings for that added dimension.  I added all the bits and pieces from the MOONLIT GARDEN kit making sure to balance the page and then added some word strips from a very old sticker book called SIMPLE VINTAGE COTTAGE FIELDS from Simple Stories.

I am not mad at it, I absolutely love the colors Kim chose to use for her and the other fairies...so soft and gorgeous!

I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and do some art journaling or card making or what ever your crafty outlet is.  Don't forget to head over to her shop and take a peak at all the amazing images she has created!

Stay crafty!

Art Journaling - A broken heart still beats in silence

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with a brand new PNG from KCS Designs!  I was just brought on to be on her Design Team and I am super excited about it.  Her designs are so good and are so easy to download and use.  Here is a link to her Etsy shop, head over and check out her stuff.

This Goth girl is from the HER HAUNTED DREAMS collection and I absolutely love her!  I will say this is my very fist Goth journal page and I am not mad at it!

I started out with sending the image over to my cricut Joy 2 so that I didn't have to fussy cut her.  I love the Joy 2 just for that reason alone!  It cut very detailed and even got the strands of her hair.  After letting the Joy do all that work I set her aside and started on the background.

I rolled the background with some HICKORY SMOKE and BLACK SOOT Distressed oxides with a brayer.

I grabbed some of my favorite background stamps from:

  • STUDIO LIGHT (Grunge collection, clock background - it is one of my FAVORITE stamps right now)
  • PAPERARTSY (EM108)
  • BACK PORCH MEMORIES (retired)
  • GRUNGE TEXTURES - Amazon

I then added some Shimmeringz in BRONZED BOMBSHELL and some RUSTY HINGE from Ranger and let it dry.

I hopped into my 49 and Market, MOON LIT GARDEN (the paper lace, the greenery, the swirls and the number tags).  I also downloaded some Ephemera bits and pieces from another shop on Etsy by My White Cat Journal, they paired perfectly with my focal image!

I am not mad at it and I can't wait to use more of KCS Designs images on my art journaling pages!

I really appreciate you guys hanging out with me today on my new art journal journey.  I hope I inspired you to get in your craft room and get messy!

Stay Crafty,

Kimberly

Art Journal - Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with something a bit new for me.  I dipped my toe into art journaling and I am loving it so far.  I'm still very new at it and learning different techniques and what works with what but I jumped feet first into this rabbit hole and so far am really enjoying it.

I did this one for the →Simon Says Stamp Blog← - MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND challenge and the →Classic Design Challenge #02-2026 Feb/Mar 2026 ←- Anything Goes with optional twist: Blooms or Butterflies. Come over and join in on the challenge.  There is lots of inspiration and a fun prize, make sure to click that link and head over.

I got my inspiration from my JN Doll Stamp (this one is called AUDRY).  I haven't played with them in a while so I pulled this one out and dressed her up with some tissue paper, pattern paper and lace and then used my Copic Markers on her.

I just got my very first ephemera book by Nova Everhart called VINTAGE SOFT STEAMPUNK and took a background page out of it that was perfect for the colors I used in the the JN Doll Stamp.  I then adhered the background paper to the A5 watercolor paper and let that dry.  I added a few background stamps from Whimsy Stamps, some white acrylic paint streaks, and inked the edges.

After letting it dry, I reached into my dies and pulled some flower and stem dies I had and placed them behind her.  I also reached into my dies and used a thick dotted circle die I got from The Scrapping Cottage.  I used a bright yellow card stock that pulled the yellows from her dress and cut the circles in half and placed them in 3 different spots to balance the page and pull those yellows in her dress out to make it pop.

I found some tulle in my stash and adhered one down with glue and a white heart brad.  I also found a couple of ticket pieces from 49 and Market that went well with my color scheme and adhered it on top of another piece of tulle with a tiny stapler...again to balance the page.

I added the HELLO sentiment, the DO WHAT YOU LOVE sentiment (from a Tim Holtz sticker book), fussy cut a butterfly from the same paper I began with and then added some bling and that completed this page.  I am not mad at it!

I appreciate you guys hanging out with me today through my fun journey of art journaling.  For more inspiration I suggest following Vicky P. on you tube.  She has been a HUGE inspiration for me and has some of the most beautiful art journaling pages you will ever find and she walks you through each step of the process each and every time.

I hope I inspired you to get into your craft room for some well deserved "me time" and just create.

Stay crafty,

Kimberly

Masculine Anniversary Card

Hi guys I'm up on the Blogger making a masculine Anniversary card.  I'm not gonna lie, I do like how this turned out.

This is for the following challenges: PIP Challenge 2606, and Creative Fingers Challenge #315, make sure you head over there and check out their fun challenges and all the inspiration!

I used a 6x6 paper pad from THE PAPER STUDIO called SUN BLEACHED FLORAL and I am in love with ALL the papers!  It's rare that I love all the papers in a paper bad but this one I do!

I picked a tiny floral pattern from the pad and then pulled out some 49 and Market rub ons.  The theme of the rub-ons was world/travel so I thought it was perfect for my sentiment YOU MEAN THE WORD TO ME.  Since I didn't have a stamp that said that I ran the A2 card panel through my printer.  I also wanted the words Happy Anniversary on it and since some how I don't have a stamp that says that I ran it through my printer again.

I die cut some stitched hearts I got from THE SCRAPPING COTTAGE and inked them with some lost shadow and adhered them to the front.  I wanted to match the blues from the rub ons so I reached into my stash and found a card stock that went perfectly with it.  I used a marker to put the lines under the sentiment HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and I was done.

I am in love with rub ons right now.  Do you use rub ons on your cards?

Well thanks for hanging out with me today, and if you would like to join in on any of these challenges be sure to click the links!

Have a crafty day!

Caffeinated Christmas Challenge #46

Hey guys, I'm up on Blogger with a Caffeinated Christmas Card...this is for Challenge #46.  Here is a link to the challenge if you want to play along.

I started out with a red metallic card stock cut to an A2 size card base.  I reached into my 49 and Market Christmas collection and grabbed a rub-on that says SANTA.

I set it aside and then started using my new TO GO CUP coffee die set from LA LA LAND CRAFTS -- It was August's Monthly Kit, full of everything coffee so I just had to grab the kit.  Sorry if you missed it because it was AWESOME!  They have some amazing stamps and dies and paper collections, here is a link to check them out - - I used a packaging from a Vicki Boutin Christmas collection to cut the cup.  The die set comes with an outline of the cup as well so I cut that out of a metallic green card stock so that it would pop off of the metallic red card stock I used for the base.  I reached into my stash and pulled out a snowflake die that fit the JOY ephemera sticker perfectly.  I cut that out of the same green metallic card stock so that it pops against the to go cup.

I pulled out my stash a scrapy friend sent me that was full of Christmas ephemera pieces and found this HAPPY HOLIDAYS wreath along with that cute bow, a poinsettia and the word MERRY.  After arranging them the way I wandered I adhered it all down, using some foam tape on a few pieces and I was done.  It came together pretty quick.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me to see how this came together.  Don't forget to head over to the challenge for some fun inspiration.

Have a crafty day,
Kimberly
