Art Journal - Her Spirit Flows like Stardust

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with another art journaling page as part of the Design Team for KCS Designs by Kim.  Click on the link to her Etsy shop so you can take a look at all of her amazing printable images and backgrounds.

Today I am playing with the HIPPIE DAZE clip art collection.  These hippie chics are so awesome and the colors she used for them, yes please!  I paired it with her Word Snippest: SHE IS collection.

I started with the background using a brayer with lots of distressed oxides in: BROKEN CHINA, CANDIED APPLE, CRACKED PISTACHIO, GROUND ESPRESSO, PEACOCK FEATHERS, SALVAGED PATINA, SPICED MARMALADE.  I came in with my soft brushes and added the same colors on top...I loved how it turned out!
I then jumped into my stash and grabbed a stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called FANTABULOUS and stamped the background using each word in that set.  I used Versifine Clair NOCTURNE to stamp them...I mean how fun are these stamps!

After stamping I reached into a tiny book I had of papers and PET tape, I got off of Amazon, with colors that matched this Hippie Chic perfectly!  I used the two PET pieces that had the brown curved branches with flowers and cut one in half and used one on each side for a bit of balance.  I then took the papers from that pack and cut these super cool flowers that I was gifted from a friend, I mean talk about hippie flowers, they remind me of the florals from the 60's.  I adhered a couple of different once together to create some dimension.

I set them aside and went to work on my stenciling using STAMPERS ANONYMOUS - HOCS POCUS stencil. Since the quote says HER SPIRIT FLOWS LIKE STARDUST, I thought this stencil worked fabulously!  I used some white modeling paste with the stencil and with me doing it on top of the distressed oxides it reacted a bit with the modeling paste, ever so slightly and turned the stars the same color as the background ink which was super cool to watch!

While letting that dry, I fussy cut the Hippie Chic and adhered her to some foam tape to give her some dimension.  I then placed the flowers, the butterflies, that I punched using a butterfly punch, and the same papers I cut for the flowers and placed everything where I wanted and adhered it down.

It was missing a bit of something so I added the thread to pull out that teal color in her and balance the page.  I am not mad at it!

I absolutely love these two collections from KCS Designs by Kim.  I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and get a bit messy today.  Thanks for hanging out with me!

Stay Crafty,
Kimberly

Holly Jolly Christmas Wishes card

Hey guys,  I'm here as a guest designer again for the month of July for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Blog #55 and I am so excited!

If you are a coffee lover this blog and challenge is for you!  Each month they host a challenge, challenging you to make a Christmas card using either coffee or hot cocoa/tea themed card.  I am a huge coffee lover and I also have a love for coffee cards.  My stash of coffee/hot cocoa and tea overrunneth, just like my coffee cup in the mornings!
Today I started out with a little inspiration I took from one of the Pretty Pink Posh cards on their website...I love getting inspired by others!

I used a die set from them called WINTER MUG.  It is so good and comes with a large coffee mug, a candy cane, ghost, leaf, marshmallow and a couple of other bits.
OK, so is anyone else like me and have quite a collection of old stash of just about everything?  I have 2 bins of Christmas bits and bobs and paper and an entire 9x7 storage bin full of Christmas dies and stamps.  So when I reached into my stash of Christmas papers I had plenty to pick from.

I found this nice shade of textured red card stock which I loved. I die cut the coffee cup but wasn't satisfied with it so I ran it through a 3D embossing folder I have from Spellbinders and loved how it came out.

I then reached into my stash of Whimsy stamps goodies...oh I just love that shop!  I had purchased a honeycomb drips stencil a few months ago and hadn't used it yet so I pulled it out and used the drip part to make the mug look like it was overflowing with goodness.  I actually cut another mug, stenciled the white card stock with some CTMH SHORTBREAD ink and then fussy cut the the drips and adhered it to the red mug.
I started digging through all the Christmas papers and goodies I have in my stash and came across the paper with the music notes with a vintage vibe to it.  I also had a scrap piece with MERRY EVERTHING and HAPPY ALWAYS printed on it so I layered them at an angle and adhered it down to the the green gingham paper which I layered on top of a black 85lb card stock.

I grabbed my Stampendous! SNOWMAN HUGS die set and die cut the candy cane.
I thought something else was missing so I die cut it again out of some red foil card stock and snipped it so it didn't have the curved part...so it looks like a peppermint stick or cinnamon stick.

I decided to give it a little extra and added some WOW embossing SPARKLING SNOW and heat embossed some of the candy cane, cinnamon stick and the drips.  I adhered it all together and layered it on top of the Christmas papers.

I found my Arden laser cuts, SEASON OF JOY and pulled out some Christmas stamps, poinsettia leaves, a heart and a small tag with a cute bow from the collection and layered them around the mug.  I also found the HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS and CHRISTMAS WISHES sentiments in the collection and thought they would be perfect for this card!

I die cut the snowflake from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Mug set and adhered it down.  I added a thin piece of green foiled card stock, that I ran through another 3D embossing folder, to the bottom of the card just for added texture, adhered it all down and called it done!

I hope I inspired you to hop along with us this month for this coffee loving, Christmas fueled hop; make a coffee inspired Christmas card for someone special, get some inspiration from others and don't forget, there is a prize each month, so maybe even win a prize!

Thanks for hanging out with me today,

Oh My Gosh! Another Day Like Today and you can...

Hey guys I'm up on the blogger with a card I made for the Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges (Challenge #2626 - WATER).  If you want to join in on the fun click the link and come join in.

I have been wanting to play with this stamp set since I got it so I pulled it out and had some fun.

I started with the background and got messy.  I used the following sprays: Distressed Mica in SNOW FLURRIES and some Perfect Pearls in BLUE SMOKE along with some Tim Holtz Distressed Spray in LAGOON on 110lb white card stock.  I used my heat gun to dry it (I'm so impatient) and then I used a stencil from CLEAR SCRAPS called BUBBLES with some glitter paste in TOPAZ from Diamond Press - oh how I love that stuff!

After it all dried I hopped into my WHIMSY STAMPS dies and pulled the OH MY GOSH! die set, die cut it on the same white card stock and then used some BROKEN CHINA distressed ink to lightly cover it.  I also inked the edges so it wouldn't get lost on the background.

After that I got on my computer and typed the ANOTHER DAY LIKE TODAY AND YOU CAN...sentiment and die cut it with a stitched die from my stash.

I grabbed the MOTHER PUFFER stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamp set - OMG I'm cracking up with this one!  I stamped the puffer fish and the words BLOW ME.  I die cut the words from a stitched circle die.  I pulled out a few of my Spectrum Noir markers and colored the puffer fish in.  I adhered all of it down and wanted a little extra for the puffer fish so I put him on an action wobbler so he moves...too cute right?

I layered on top of some black card stock and called it done.  I am not mad at it!

I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and make a handmade card for someone special and put a smile on their face or a giggle in their day.

Stay Crafty,

Kimberly

Coffee and Gansta Rap

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with this month's Just For Giggles IG hop.  If you know me you know that I just love funny and snarky cards!  If you love to make funny, punny or snarky cards this hop is for you.  It's once a month and anyone can join in the fun.  Click this LINK and head over to my IG to join in on the hop and get some giggles in today!

Today I decided to download one of the PNG's that I purchased off of Etsy.  Soooo, I am new to PNG's and I kind of went crazy on buying them.  I mean so inexpensive, you get multiple images and they take up zero room.  So the days I am not in a mood to pull out my Copic or Spectrum Noir markers I can reach into my newly acquired stash of PNG's.

I picked my latest download called FUNNY CARTOON CAFFEINATED QUIRKY BIRDS by HBM Clipart.  If you are interested in PNG's they have a lot to offer, just click on the link.

I used 2 birds for this caffeinated card.  The parrot is so vibrant and the cup it's holding left enough room for one of my stamps, COFFEE AND GANSTA RAP.  That stamp has been in my stash forever.  It was small enough to fit into that cup...but the great thing about PNG's is you can resize them to any size you need so if it didn't fit I could just adjust the bird to size!  The brown bird had a cup that already said "speed mode engaged" so I thought the two sentiments on the cups went well.  I did reach for my fine colored pens and just gave their feathers a little more dimension along with a bit of Copic to help.

After I printed and added some flicks of the markers I used a die from my stash that I had gotten off of Amazon...it's quirky so it went perfectly.  I also used a postage die from Scrapbook.com with papers from Whimsy stamps and Brass and Bliss.  Both are the top 2 companies I love to buy from!

After adhering everything together I printed out the sentiment and added some glossy accents to the whip, the eyes and the coffee beans and called it D-O-N-E!

I hope I was able to make you giggle with this card and don't forget to head over to the Hop for some more funny/punny/snarky inspiration.

Stay crafty!

What can it be? It's a coffee cup for me

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with an ANYTHING GOES Challenge for STAMPlorations.  Click here to join in on the fun and get some amazing inspiration! Their rules state you have to use stamps (if you are not using anything from →Stamplorations←.  Unfortunately I do not have anything (yet) from them.  Here is a link to check out their fabulous shop.

Today I decided to do a layout.  I have been making so many cards lately I am neglecting my layouts.  I am doing a Christmas layout from 2025 and found 2 pictures of my mom's husband opening a coffee cup my Nephew got him.

Since stamping was a requirement (and I am not mad at that at all because I have a TON of stamps) I decided to make my own background.

I pulled out a couple of stamp sets from Whimsy stamps  (GRUMPY HOLIDAYS and LOADS OF CHEER) and a Karen Burniston (SEASON OF CHEER) along with one of their alpha die set and a stamp set from Spellbinders (HOLIDAY GNOMES).

Since the pictures are primarily red and blues I reached into my Arden SEASON OF JOY collection and it was a perfect match for these photos!

I backed the 12x12 white card stock with a piece of Arden's Season of Joy but I made sure to gut it because it's not just red it has some black stamping on the background as almost a grunge effect and I didn't want to waste it...but since I needed to match the red I used to back the white 12x12 paper, I used it to mat the photos😞

After backing the 12x12 I went to town stamping.  I start with the largest stamp and worked my way down in size trying to keep them at odd numbers because for some reason our brains love that.  After I finished stamping I was going to color in the Charlie Brown looking Christmas tree with my Copics but I didn't want to ruin the look so I kept it as is and brought in some reds and blues in with the title, some title pieces and stars from that Arden collection and some bling.  I think keeping the background black and white those pieces really made it pop.

Well that is it!  I hope I inspired you to reach into your stamps and create your own background, it is so much fun to do!  Don't forget to head over to Stamplorations' Monthly Blog Challenge and join in on the fun.

Thanks for hanging out with my!

Art Journal - Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with something a bit new for me.  I dipped my toe into art journaling and I am loving it so far.  I'm still very new at it and learning different techniques and what works with what but I jumped feet first into this rabbit hole and so far am really enjoying it.

I did this one for the →Simon Says Stamp Blog← - MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND challenge and the →Classic Design Challenge #02-2026 Feb/Mar 2026 ←- Anything Goes with optional twist: Blooms or Butterflies. Come over and join in on the challenge.  There is lots of inspiration and a fun prize, make sure to click that link and head over.

I got my inspiration from my JN Doll Stamp (this one is called AUDRY).  I haven't played with them in a while so I pulled this one out and dressed her up with some tissue paper, pattern paper and lace and then used my Copic Markers on her.

I just got my very first ephemera book by Nova Everhart called VINTAGE SOFT STEAMPUNK and took a background page out of it that was perfect for the colors I used in the the JN Doll Stamp.  I then adhered the background paper to the A5 watercolor paper and let that dry.  I added a few background stamps from Whimsy Stamps, some white acrylic paint streaks, and inked the edges.

After letting it dry, I reached into my dies and pulled some flower and stem dies I had and placed them behind her.  I also reached into my dies and used a thick dotted circle die I got from The Scrapping Cottage.  I used a bright yellow card stock that pulled the yellows from her dress and cut the circles in half and placed them in 3 different spots to balance the page and pull those yellows in her dress out to make it pop.

I found some tulle in my stash and adhered one down with glue and a white heart brad.  I also found a couple of ticket pieces from 49 and Market that went well with my color scheme and adhered it on top of another piece of tulle with a tiny stapler...again to balance the page.

I added the HELLO sentiment, the DO WHAT YOU LOVE sentiment (from a Tim Holtz sticker book), fussy cut a butterfly from the same paper I began with and then added some bling and that completed this page.  I am not mad at it!

I appreciate you guys hanging out with me today through my fun journey of art journaling.  For more inspiration I suggest following Vicky P. on you tube.  She has been a HUGE inspiration for me and has some of the most beautiful art journaling pages you will ever find and she walks you through each step of the process each and every time.

I hope I inspired you to get into your craft room for some well deserved "me time" and just create.

Stay crafty,

OMG - Ewww, Is that your face!

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with another snarky card for the→ Simon Says Stamping Blog Challenge. ←  The challenge is to make your own background and that's exactly what I did with this card.

I started off by stamping the image I got from Whimsy Stamps called MEME PEOPLE CLEAR STAMP I colored her in using my Copic Markers and my Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut her out.

Whimsy has a background stamp that is perfect for her but I don't have it so I made something similar by going into Canva, picking the icons, arranging them and then downloading and printing it out.  I do appreciate the inspiration from that Whimsy stamp for sure!  While I was in Canva I decided to make the speech bubble as well with the sentiment EWWW, IS THAT YOUR FACE!  I printed both out fussy cut the sentiment and inked it in Saltwater Taffy and cut the background to fit an A2 card.

Then I reached into my Whimsy basket and grabbed the OMG shadow die I have and die cut that out in 2 different shades of pink.

I grabbed my die from Brass and Bliss to cut the frame...it also cuts an inner piece that I used for the inside of my card...we don't waste anything in this craft room😂  I cut it in blue to make her eyes pop.

I went into my scraps and grabbed the same shade of pink I used for the OMG die to make the A2 Base. I slid her just under the frame and adhered it all down.  I got out some white acrylic paint and did some splatters and called it done.

I just love making Snarky cards!  Do you have any stamps in your stash that are snarky and fun?

Thanks for hanging out with me today and I hope I have inspired you to make a card for someone and put a smile on their face.

Stay crafty!

Snarky Card - Life is short, Smile While You Still Have Teeth

Hey guys, I'm up on the BLOGGER today with another Snarky card.  I don't know about you but some times you just need a good laugh so if I can make and send a card to someone that makes them giggle I'm all for it.

Today I am using some products from Whimsy Stamps and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from AlteNew.

I started off with a Quick card front from Whimsy Stamps from the Old Fart Grandma collection.  These are too funny!  Quick card fronts are great when you don't have much time to make a card, you can simply use one with a sentiment and you're done or you can do a little more with it or a lot more with it.  I chose to do a bit more with it.

I used a nesting die set that looks a bit grungy or like you tore your paper, I do love that look.  I used the 2nd to the largest of the set and then adhered the part that I die cut to black card stock so when I popped the inner piece of the card back on top with foam tape you would see the black "shadow" effect instead of the white card base.  I then used one of the snarky sentiments from the pack but I chose to only use half of it (OLD GEEZER).

I reached into another Whimsy die set I have and cut the speech bubble and stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from AlteNew on it.  So now the sentiment says HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD GEEZER.  I am cracking up!

I didn't stop there, I wanted a bit more so I reached into another die set from Whimsy (I swear I am not affiliated with them at all, I just really love their stuff) and grabbed a birthday streamers die and cut them out of some paper that matches her purple coat.  I thought that gave it a little extra something and a pop of more color.

I could have stopped there but she looked like she was floating so I reached into my AALL & Create snarky HILARIOUS HEADLINES word set.  I used this LIFE IS SHORT.  SMILE WHILE YOU STILL HAVE TEETH.  I thought that was hilarious with this card front...I mean she isn't smiling so she might not have any teeth😂

Well that does it for this snarky card.  I hope I put a smile on your face and gave you some inspiration to spread some laughter today or at least a handmade card to brighten someones day.

Thanks for hanging out with me today!

Have a crafty day,

Kimberly

Bah Humbug!

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with another Christmas card for February's challenge over on the The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up !  If you guys want to stay caught up on your Christmas cards for this year this is a fun way to do it!

Today I'm working on Challenge #131 and made a Grinch card for it.   I absolutely love the Grinch and I found this AI image I printed on watercolor card stock.  I used the smooth side so I could add the stamp sentiment from WHIMSY STAMPS - - BAH HUMBUG!  From their Grumpy Holidays Clear stamps set.  It was still available at the time of this blog and it's super cute with a dog and a Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

After I stamped my sentiment I reached into my card stock and pulled this gorgeous shinny red card stock and framed the Grinch.  I then grabbed some washi tape, because don't we all have a ton of that!  I added a piece of washi to each side of the card to balance it out.  I popped up the Grinch on foam tape, added a sentiment inside and called it done!  Easy Peasy!

If you guys are like me and need some motivation to get those Christmas cards done early so you are not adding any stress to the Holidays, because who needs more of that!  Head over to the 12 MONTHS OF CHRISTAMAS LINK UP CHALLENGE and get some inspiration and some fun prizes and your cards done for a stress free Holiday!

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2025 - How to make me Happy card

Hey guys, I'm here with another fun coffee card for the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop for 2025.  If you have never participated here is a link to find out how and a link to all of the Super Sponsors that usually have some pretty good deals going on for this hop!

I started off with a coffee stamp set I just purchased from Amazon (click here to see it).  I will say, I wasn't overly happy with it when I got it.  It is a bit flimsy and one of the stamps almost looks like she has a mustache...that's what I get for buying cheap stamps.

But they turned out to be cute stamps/images so I guess I'm not that mad at them.  Anyhoo, I started with the cute image of a woman in slippers sitting back having a cup of coffee...I can't say that I've ever gone to the store in slippers but hey, a coffee run is a coffee run.

I used my Copic Markers and my Spectrum NoirMarkers to color her (still trying to work on my shading technique, it's slow going, I really need to watch more vids).

After I finished coloring the image, I pulled out a double frame die from Whimsy Stamps and cut it out using a 6x6 paper from Brass and Bliss Java Good Time paper pad.   After die cutting it out I backed it with a toffee colored textured card stock.

I pulled out my Vicki Boutin 12x12 paper pad I just got, I think it's called Art For Everyone.  I found this paper that looks like it has coffee rings on it and in the same color scheme as the clothes I colored on the image so I was super excited to use it - happy coincidence for sure. I backed the VB paper with the same toffee colored card stock to balance out the card and then adhered it all together (popping up the image on foam tape to give it a bit of dimension).

I reached into my coffee sentiment stamps and grabbed a Brass and Bliss stamp set called LET'S MEET FOR COFFEE and stamped it on the top.

This card was so simple and easy to make...I hope it has inspired you to pull out your coffee stamps and make a card and hop along for the 2025 Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog hop.

Thanks for hanging out with me,

Have a crafty day!

Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2025

Hey guys, I'm here hopping along with this years Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog hop.  Here is a link to find all the info and how to hop along with everyone.

Here is my 3rd Coffee Card and I decided to try something I've been trying to figure out how to do for a while.  Have you ever seen a card that looks like it's popped out with the same image but in different dimensions?  I really don't know how it's done but I gave it a shot, you can tell me in the comments if you think I got it right or if I'm close.

I started off with a paper pad from the awesome Brass & Bliss company.  I discovered them (I actually won a gift card on one the the Coffee Lover's Blog hops) and have been buying from them ever since!

They have some of the most fabulous stamps and dies ever and their paper pads are amazing!  The one I'm using is called Java Good Time.  I used 2 different papers, one for the card front and the other to die cut.

I cut the base down to an A2 card size and then I took my new dies from Whimsy stamps (oh I really have to say this is one of my most FAVORITE stores) This die is called  STAINED GLASS WINDOW and it was on CLEARANCE for $5 so YES PLEASE!  I used ALL the dies at the same time and die cut the patterned paper.  I then adhered the first 2 to my card front, then I used foam tape strips to pop up the next two and then the last two I adhered directly to the card front.  It gives it a dimensional look but still not quite what I was going for but I'm not mad at it.

I then reached for my stamp and dies from Brass & Bliss...how cute is that sloth?

I used some Copic and Spectrum Noir markers to color and shade in the image.  I also grabbed a coffee stamp from another stamp set from Brass & Bliss and stamped the sentiment.

I added some foam tape behind the middle of the image so it adheres to the card front as well as the pattern paper.  I added some bling to the top and some in the middle but I was going for a steamy kind of flow...not sure that really worked out but they were down and, yeap, not mad at it!

That's it, this one was pretty quick and I do like the dimension of the dies that still show the patterns where they are suppose to be.  What do you think?

Thanks for hanging out with me for this hop and I hope to see you hopping along with us!

Have a crafty day!

Coffee Loving Papercrafters Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #42

Hey guys, I'm up on the blog doing Challenge #42 for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge.  If you want to join in here is the link!

I started out with 110lb white paper (oh how I will miss those awesome SALES at Joann's), stamped this cute Sloth stamp, from Brass and Bliss,  (ALL YOU NEED IS COFFEE) I would link it but it was so cute it sold out...and used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color it and then die cut it out.

I then took the same 110# white paper and inked it in some Vicki Boutin (color wheel, red) and some Tim Holtz Distressed Oxide (in Pine Needles).  I then stamped this awesome coffee to go cup stamp from AlteNew called Friends Forever, one of my fav coffee stamps!  I made sure to stamp it so that the colors were where I wanted them.  I used my Spectrum Noir to color in the lid.

I grabbed my new Whimsy BURST stamp (I LOVE THIS STAMP) to stamp on another 110# white paper (no wonder I go through so much white paper)!  I used the same 2 colors, the red from the color wheel, and the Pine Needles from Tim Holtz, to stamp on the different sides of that burst stamp to give it some added dimension and color and I do love how it turned out.

I reached into my stash and pulled out the sticker that says HAPPY HOLIDAYS and the 2 Christmas foliage stickers to put on either side of the cup.  I also found that cute Christmas hat to add to the Sloth.  I adhered the "Burst" panel on some Christmas red metallic card stock, added the coffee cup and then popped up that Sloth on some foam adhesive and called it done.  Super easy card and I was able to use up some older stash!

I am not mad at it!  Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging out and don't forget to hop over to the Challenge and join in!

Have a crafty day!
