Coffee, because adulting is hard - #Mug Life

Well I am back with my fifth and final card for my guest designer series for July and boy isn't this one true!  Adulting is hard and coffee is always my go to for it...some days it may or may not have (defiantly may) a bit of Irish Cream in it for the adulting part πŸ˜‚

I started off with a solid mat of brown from my K&Company 4x6 paper pad.  I found these at Ollies for almost nothing.  I bought two of them because I loved them so much and I keep going back to see if they get any more in but Ollies is definitely a hit or miss with card making supplies.  Supposedly they bought out some of Joann's stock but our Ollies isn't well stocked at all so I have to go here and there to see if they've gotten anything new in.  Do you have an Ollies near you?  If so you should definitely check them out because their scrapbook and card making supplies are ridiculously LOW priced!

I pulled out my brand new Pretty Pink Posh die plate and I am LOVING it!  They are a SUPER SPONSOR and have some great dies and other goodies in their shop, so if you have a chance, hop over there and take a peek.  I used this argyle stitched plate on the brown 4x6 paper for my base and then moved on to making my background.

I'm not going to lie, I struggled with the background.  I wanted it awesome with coffee words scattered and inks and splatters and...well it took me 3 tries and I had to calm it down a bit.  It got a bit over powering for an A2 card so I ended up using 3 distressed oxides (Feather Peacock, Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs).  After ink blending the background I grabbed a stencil I had in my stash to make some coffee splatters.  I reached into one of my stamp sets from Crafter's Companion and stamped the heart "steam" and called the background done...and I am not mad at it!  I did use a nested wonky die from Scrapbook. com to die cut it out and adhered it to my base.

That chinchilla stamp set is from La La Land Crafts and is so stinking cute! I love all the sentiments in the set as well.  After I colored him in with my Copics I added a sticker of a pair of glasses I found in my stash just to add a little something to him.

The coffee cup is from another SUPER SPONSOR for The Coffee Loving Papercrafters, Crackerbox Stamps.  They have some awesome coffee stamp sets so hop on over and take a look.  I actually used a light hand with the Gathered Twig distressed oxide to color in the mug along with the Ground Espresso for the top of the cup so it looked like dark coffee.  I added some glossy accents to give it a wet look to it and some dimension.  I adhered everything together, added some flat pearls from Kat Scrappiness and called it done.

I was so thrilled to be a guest designer for the month of July and I hope I was able to inspire you to get into your crafty space and make a handmade coffee card for someone who shares your love of coffee as much as you do!

Stay Crafty my friends,

Kimberly

Coffee card - Did You Ever Want To Say?

Hey guys, I'm here as a guest designer for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog post and I am so excited!  They are all about coffee and since discovering them my stamps and dies for everything coffee has gown...STRONG, you know, like coffeeπŸ˜‚☕️πŸ˜‚

This card is how I feel most mornings when my body aches or my MS is acting up...I literally have a cup of coffee in my hand and just say "Nope, not today"   Ugh! Some days life is just a bit much and is why I reach for that second cup of coffee most days. But hey, we all have our struggles in life and well, coffee helps and then we take on whatever part of the day we can.

I am loving this stamp from Crackerbox Stamps.  Her name is "Helen" and she seems to look like she needs more than just one cup of coffee most mornings too!  I mean her struggles look real!

I started out by stamping her with some alcohol friendly black ink.  I like to use Memento in Tuxedo Black when I am using my alcohol markers on a stamped image.  It's the best one that I've found to not smudge when using the markers.  In the Copic Markers I used Y08, Y11, C1, E0000, RV14, R32, B23, B26 and in the SPECTRUM NIOR, I used, E56.  I also used some glossy accents on her cup and the steam.

The stamp set from Crackerbox stamp also came with the sentiment, "DID YOU EVER WANT TO SAY?".  I stamped the sentiment and used one of my nested dies from my stash to die cut it and then I used a fine tip black pen to sketch an outline around the sentiment just to make it pop.   I added a background layer from a paper pack from BRASS and BLISS called JAVA GOOD TIME.  I also used one of the bigger dies from the same nested die set to cut and layer it them together.

I dug into my scraps and found that polkadot pattern paper, a brown card stock from the JAVA GOOD TIME paper collection and a bright yellow card stock from my stash - just to make her yellow mug pop - and then I layered them all.  I popped her up with some foam tape, adhered her and the sentiment to the front and then started on the inside of the card.

I grabbed a nesting die set I got from SBC to cut a frame using another coffee pattern paper from Brass and Bliss...have I told you I just love Brass and Bliss and I discovered them through one of the hops? They are also a SUPER SPONSOR of The coffee Loving Papercrafters...boy, they sure have enabled me to find a LOT of great stamp and die companies, maybe too much πŸ˜‚   After die cutting that thick frame, I popped it up on foam tape.

I pulled a frame die from Brass and Bliss, called INSIDE SCALLOP FRAME.  I die cut it out of the same bright yellow card stock I used on the frot of my card to give some pop and to make and outside and inside the card cohesive.  I adhered the coffee frame to the yellow card stock and then adhered that to the inside of the card.

I grabbed another sentiment stamp from Pajama Crafter Stamp- "NOPE, NOT TODAY".  I used another die from my stash from Kat Scrappiness and stamped, die cut and adhered it to the inside of that coffee frame.  I found that little kitten in my plate of...I'll put it away some day, stash…that never seems to get put away.  I thought he looked super cute and I was happy to find him a great home.

I sure hope I inspired you to reach into your stash and pull all the things to make a fun coffee card today.

Stay crafty my friends,

Kimberly

Miss Dee Coffee Card - A Cafe, mocha, vodka, valium, latte to go please

Hi guys, I'm back on the Blogger with another card in my July Guest Designer Series.  If you like snarky cards as much as I do you will love Miss Dee!  She is quirky and snarky and I just adore her!  I managed to find 2 of the AALL & Create, Miss Dee stamps on Etsy as a PNG file!  That blew my mind because I didn't think you could get them in a PNG file.  I found them on VERA LANE STUDIOS.  I do love working with PNG's because you can store them on your computer so no shelf space needed and you can resize her to what ever size you want.  I resized her to fit on another PNG background I purchased from Etsy called COFFEE SHOP by Fantasy Digitals and just printed it out...EASY PEESY!
I started out with  a brown 80lb card stock for my base and used the Stamperia stencil called ALICE IN CHRISTMAS - HARLEQUIN.  I used CLOUD WHITE by VersaMagic.  I set it aside and started working with the PNG files.

I pulled the Coffee Shop PNG into my PAGES along with Miss Dee.  I put her in front of the Coffee Shop image and sized her to fit into that space.  I printed the image as one and it comes out with her uncolored.  So cool right!  All I had to do is color her in with my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.

I pulled out my Crackerbox stamps, COFFEE 1 stamp set and used that hilarious sentiment...I'LL HAVE A CAFE, MOCHA, VODKA, VALIUM, LATTE TO GO PLEASE.  Oh my gosh I am cracking up because it looks like Miss Dee is handing it right to meπŸ˜†  I'm telling you this is my mood these past 6 weeks with life piling more and more on my plate!   Crackerbox has the funniest and snarky stamps sets and I love that they are one of our Super Sponsor during our hops!

I stamped the sentiment out and die cut it using one of my quirky dies from my stash and then used my brayer to roll some CTMH ink (CAROLINA) on it, adhered everything to the card base and called it done!

Do you use PNG images to make cards?

I hope I was able to make you giggle and inspire you to get into your crafty space and make a card for someone you know and bring a smile to their face!

Stay crafty,
Kimberly

Happy 250th America!

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with my very first card as a Guest Designer for July.  Since it's July 3rd and tomorrow is America's 250th Birthday I really wanted to make a card to celebrate that!  I remember being a kid in 1976 when we celebrated America's 200th Bicentennial Birthday and there was such a buzz in the air leading up to the big day!  I just remember being in awe of so much that was going on; the parades, the fireworks, the cookouts, all the neighbors out in the streets shaking hands and really celebrating our 200th birthday!  It was AWESOME.  So I am dedicating this card to America and her 250th birthday!

I started out with a patterned base card that picks up that blue in my color scheme.  It's filled with colorful stars that was perfect for this card! I layered that with a white card stock and then layered red foiled card stock on top. That red really makes everything pop!  For the "HAPPY" I used a Karen Burniston "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" DIE SET.  I die cut in a heavy white card stock and inked it in red, and leaving some white of the card stock and then blue.  I adhered it to the top and moved on to my focal point.

I'm not going to lie, for those flags, I cut up a 4th of July store bought card my sister sent to me years ago. It was in a bunch of unused store bought cards she no longer wanted.  I mean who doesn't like to recycle...so I fussy cut them and adhered to the card base.

The coffee cup is from one of our Super Sponsors and a fav of mine, Crackerbox Stamps.  This is from their Coffee 1 collection.  I stamped the cup out and used a couple of Vickie Boutin color wheels (blue/greens and the red orange set) to bring the RED, WHITE and BLUE colors our flag is known for.

After stamping out and inking the cup, I stamped another one on that star pattern paper...it was the packaging from HOMETOWN SUMMER by Renne Lonney, again, recycling at it's bestπŸ˜‹πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š  I fussy cut the lid and the sleeve and adhered both to the cup, popping up the lid with some foam tape for some added dimension.  I die cut the 250th, which are both from Karen Burniston, and added it to the sleeve and then adhered the cup to the card.

I reached into my American Crafts Thickers FLAGS & FRILLS and found the word AMERICAN so I cut the "N" off so I could use it as the word AMERICA.

Lastly I added some glitter stars from my stash and called it done.

Are you sending out any 250th USA Birthday cards this year?  Are you as excited as I am to celebrate our 250th?  I can only hope it is as FABULOUS as the Bicentennial 200th birthday celebration I remember as a kid!

Thanks for hanging out with me today and I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and make a handmade card for someone and put a smile on their face.

Stay crafty my friends,

Kimberly

Holly Jolly Christmas Wishes card

Hey guys,  I'm here as a guest designer again for the month of July for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Blog #55 and I am so excited!

If you are a coffee lover this blog and challenge is for you!  Each month they host a challenge, challenging you to make a Christmas card using either coffee or hot cocoa/tea themed card.  I am a huge coffee lover and I also have a love for coffee cards.  My stash of coffee/hot cocoa and tea overrunneth, just like my coffee cup in the mornings!
Today I started out with a little inspiration I took from one of the Pretty Pink Posh cards on their website...I love getting inspired by others!

I used a die set from them called WINTER MUG.  It is so good and comes with a large coffee mug, a candy cane, ghost, leaf, marshmallow and a couple of other bits.
OK, so is anyone else like me and have quite a collection of old stash of just about everything?  I have 2 bins of Christmas bits and bobs and paper and an entire 9x7 storage bin full of Christmas dies and stamps.  So when I reached into my stash of Christmas papers I had plenty to pick from.

I found this nice shade of textured red card stock which I loved. I die cut the coffee cup but wasn't satisfied with it so I ran it through a 3D embossing folder I have from Spellbinders and loved how it came out.

I then reached into my stash of Whimsy stamps goodies...oh I just love that shop!  I had purchased a honeycomb drips stencil a few months ago and hadn't used it yet so I pulled it out and used the drip part to make the mug look like it was overflowing with goodness.  I actually cut another mug, stenciled the white card stock with some CTMH SHORTBREAD ink and then fussy cut the the drips and adhered it to the red mug.
I started digging through all the Christmas papers and goodies I have in my stash and came across the paper with the music notes with a vintage vibe to it.  I also had a scrap piece with MERRY EVERTHING and HAPPY ALWAYS printed on it so I layered them at an angle and adhered it down to the the green gingham paper which I layered on top of a black 85lb card stock.

I grabbed my Stampendous! SNOWMAN HUGS die set and die cut the candy cane.
I thought something else was missing so I die cut it again out of some red foil card stock and snipped it so it didn't have the curved part...so it looks like a peppermint stick or cinnamon stick.

I decided to give it a little extra and added some WOW embossing SPARKLING SNOW and heat embossed some of the candy cane, cinnamon stick and the drips.  I adhered it all together and layered it on top of the Christmas papers.

I found my Arden laser cuts, SEASON OF JOY and pulled out some Christmas stamps, poinsettia leaves, a heart and a small tag with a cute bow from the collection and layered them around the mug.  I also found the HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS and CHRISTMAS WISHES sentiments in the collection and thought they would be perfect for this card!

I die cut the snowflake from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Mug set and adhered it down.  I added a thin piece of green foiled card stock, that I ran through another 3D embossing folder, to the bottom of the card just for added texture, adhered it all down and called it done!

I hope I inspired you to hop along with us this month for this coffee loving, Christmas fueled hop; make a coffee inspired Christmas card for someone special, get some inspiration from others and don't forget, there is a prize each month, so maybe even win a prize!

Thanks for hanging out with me today,

Oh My Gosh! Another Day Like Today and you can...

Hey guys I'm up on the blogger with a card I made for the Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges (Challenge #2626 - WATER).  If you want to join in on the fun click the link and come join in.

I have been wanting to play with this stamp set since I got it so I pulled it out and had some fun.

I started with the background and got messy.  I used the following sprays: Distressed Mica in SNOW FLURRIES and some Perfect Pearls in BLUE SMOKE along with some Tim Holtz Distressed Spray in LAGOON on 110lb white card stock.  I used my heat gun to dry it (I'm so impatient) and then I used a stencil from CLEAR SCRAPS called BUBBLES with some glitter paste in TOPAZ from Diamond Press - oh how I love that stuff!

After it all dried I hopped into my WHIMSY STAMPS dies and pulled the OH MY GOSH! die set, die cut it on the same white card stock and then used some BROKEN CHINA distressed ink to lightly cover it.  I also inked the edges so it wouldn't get lost on the background.

After that I got on my computer and typed the ANOTHER DAY LIKE TODAY AND YOU CAN...sentiment and die cut it with a stitched die from my stash.

I grabbed the MOTHER PUFFER stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamp set - OMG I'm cracking up with this one!  I stamped the puffer fish and the words BLOW ME.  I die cut the words from a stitched circle die.  I pulled out a few of my Spectrum Noir markers and colored the puffer fish in.  I adhered all of it down and wanted a little extra for the puffer fish so I put him on an action wobbler so he moves...too cute right?

I layered on top of some black card stock and called it done.  I am not mad at it!

I hope I inspired you to get into your crafty space and make a handmade card for someone special and put a smile on their face or a giggle in their day.

Stay Crafty,

Kimberly

Coffee and Gansta Rap

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with this month's Just For Giggles IG hop.  If you know me you know that I just love funny and snarky cards!  If you love to make funny, punny or snarky cards this hop is for you.  It's once a month and anyone can join in the fun.  Click this LINK and head over to my IG to join in on the hop and get some giggles in today!

Today I decided to download one of the PNG's that I purchased off of Etsy.  Soooo, I am new to PNG's and I kind of went crazy on buying them.  I mean so inexpensive, you get multiple images and they take up zero room.  So the days I am not in a mood to pull out my Copic or Spectrum Noir markers I can reach into my newly acquired stash of PNG's.

I picked my latest download called FUNNY CARTOON CAFFEINATED QUIRKY BIRDS by HBM Clipart.  If you are interested in PNG's they have a lot to offer, just click on the link.

I used 2 birds for this caffeinated card.  The parrot is so vibrant and the cup it's holding left enough room for one of my stamps, COFFEE AND GANSTA RAP.  That stamp has been in my stash forever.  It was small enough to fit into that cup...but the great thing about PNG's is you can resize them to any size you need so if it didn't fit I could just adjust the bird to size!  The brown bird had a cup that already said "speed mode engaged" so I thought the two sentiments on the cups went well.  I did reach for my fine colored pens and just gave their feathers a little more dimension along with a bit of Copic to help.

After I printed and added some flicks of the markers I used a die from my stash that I had gotten off of Amazon...it's quirky so it went perfectly.  I also used a postage die from Scrapbook.com with papers from Whimsy stamps and Brass and Bliss.  Both are the top 2 companies I love to buy from!

After adhering everything together I printed out the sentiment and added some glossy accents to the whip, the eyes and the coffee beans and called it D-O-N-E!

I hope I was able to make you giggle with this card and don't forget to head over to the Hop for some more funny/punny/snarky inspiration.

Stay crafty!

Happy Holidays - Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Hey guys,  I'm so happy to be a guest designer this month for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Blog!  If you are a coffee lover this blog and challenge is for you!  Each month they host a challenge, challenging you to make a Christmas card using either coffee or hot cocoa/tea themed card.  I am a huge coffee lover and I also have a love for coffee cards.  My stash of coffee/hot cocoa and tea is HUGE!  So I was super excited when I was asked to guest design for this month!

I actually made a pretty simple card, because sometimes, life needs simple.  I have recently really gotten into digi stamps.  I think it's more out of the necessity of using less space in my craft room because I have no more space to use...I know I can't be the only one like that.  So today I downloaded a digi image from Angie Bloom Digital Designs, called LOVE YOU MORE, GIRL.

After I downloaded the image I popped it into Canva and put the Christmas tree behind it (the tree is part of Canva's elements) and then added the window in front of her so make it look like you are looking in seeing her relaxed and cozy by the tree sipping on her coffee, or hot cocoa.   The window actually comes with the digi stamp set.  I then downloaded the image to my computer, put it into my PAGES and printed it on some 110lb white card stock.

I used my Copic and Spectrum Noir Tri-blends to color her.  I then used some distressed oxide from Tim Holtz in Mustard Seed to give the tree a glow.

After coloring I reached into my Arden SEASON OF JOY collection and grabbed the frames in green and red to balance the card, added the gold foil card stock and the HAPPY HOLIDAYS sentiment (again from Arden's Season of Joy collection).  I did add a sketchy boarder around it using my fine point black pen just to make it pop.

Well that does it for this digi Christmas card.  I hope I inspired you to dig out those coffee inspired stamps and dies and head over to Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and join in on the fun.

Stay crafty my friends,

Kimberly

I used a digi stamp from LOTV Digi Stamp over on Etsy.  This was so easy to download and print, cut and  use!  I added some 3D tulip stickers and a few sprig die cuts along with some paper from Stamperia - House of Roses collection.

This card was so fun and easy to make.  Thanks for hanging out with me today and I hope I inspired you to put a smile on someone's face by making them a handmade card.

This is my mug shot

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with yet another snarky card...boy I don't know what is in the air but I am full of snarky this month!  I am doing this for the Simon Says Stamp Blog - MAKE A BACKGROUND challenge and Pammie's inky Pinkies - anything goes blog challenge.(2609) Click on the links to follow, join in and get inspired!

Today I'm using lots of background stamps for the background.  I somehow amassed an entire box of background stamps and I am not mad at that!  I love using them to create backgrounds for cards, layouts and junk journals.

After I finished up the background I reached into my Brass and Bliss, JAVA GOOD TIME paper pad and used a  Deckle Fram die from them as well to die cut it and frame the A2 card.  This paper was super busy  but by me using it as essentially a border it really worked!

I then printed out the Digi stamp of Miss Dee I found on Etsy (shop here).  I couldn't believe I found a Miss Dee stamp in digi form!  Guys, I have ZERO space left for any more dies or stamps so I was super excited!  I pulled out all the markers...I use both Copic and Spectrum Noir.  I'm not fabulous at shading but I'm getting there.

After I colored and fussy cut everything out I figured out the placement and are you ready for this...I ran my background through my printer to get that sentiment because it was also part of the digi collection!  It came out perfectly!  I think I actually let out a little screamπŸ˜†

I adhered everything together but something was still missing so I reached into my scraps and had this tiny piece of brown left from one of the JAVA GOOD TIME papers and it pulled it all together!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me.  I hope I inspired you to make someone laugh by making them a snarky card today.

Stay crafty

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with a card for this weeks Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge (#2607) where anything goes! This week I'm into St. Patty's cards.

I started with a piece of water color textured paper cut 1/8" smaller than an A2 size.  I reached into my stencils and grabbed a sun stencil from Shadnee over on Etsy.  I used some Muster seed distress oxide through the stencil.

I then reached into my Doodlebug OVER THE RAINBOW collection and grabbed this cut gnome tree house and the gnome.  I adhered the tree house down and I used a few scraps for the back of the gnome to give him a bit of dimension but not as big as the sentiment.

Speaking of sentiments, I went into my PAGES on my Mac and created both the HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY! and the MAY YOUR PATH ALWAYS LEAD HOME and put them both in frames and changed the ink to green to match the theme.

I added the bling and I am done!  So easy and I think it is so cute...I just love gnomes!  Do you make St. Patty's Day cards?

Thanks for hacking out with me today and don't forget to head over to Pammies Inky Pinkies and check out all the inspiration and fun challenges.

I hope I inspired you to put a smile on someone's face by making and sending a card.

Stay crafty

Snarky Card - Life is short, Smile While You Still Have Teeth

Hey guys, I'm up on the BLOGGER today with another Snarky card.  I don't know about you but some times you just need a good laugh so if I can make and send a card to someone that makes them giggle I'm all for it.

Today I am using some products from Whimsy Stamps and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from AlteNew.

I started off with a Quick card front from Whimsy Stamps from the Old Fart Grandma collection.  These are too funny!  Quick card fronts are great when you don't have much time to make a card, you can simply use one with a sentiment and you're done or you can do a little more with it or a lot more with it.  I chose to do a bit more with it.

I used a nesting die set that looks a bit grungy or like you tore your paper, I do love that look.  I used the 2nd to the largest of the set and then adhered the part that I die cut to black card stock so when I popped the inner piece of the card back on top with foam tape you would see the black "shadow" effect instead of the white card base.  I then used one of the snarky sentiments from the pack but I chose to only use half of it (OLD GEEZER).

I reached into another Whimsy die set I have and cut the speech bubble and stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from AlteNew on it.  So now the sentiment says HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD GEEZER.  I am cracking up!

I didn't stop there, I wanted a bit more so I reached into another die set from Whimsy (I swear I am not affiliated with them at all, I just really love their stuff) and grabbed a birthday streamers die and cut them out of some paper that matches her purple coat.  I thought that gave it a little extra something and a pop of more color.

I could have stopped there but she looked like she was floating so I reached into my AALL & Create snarky HILARIOUS HEADLINES word set.  I used this LIFE IS SHORT.  SMILE WHILE YOU STILL HAVE TEETH.  I thought that was hilarious with this card front...I mean she isn't smiling so she might not have any teethπŸ˜‚

Well that does it for this snarky card.  I hope I put a smile on your face and gave you some inspiration to spread some laughter today or at least a handmade card to brighten someones day.

Thanks for hanging out with me today!

Have a crafty day,

Kimberly

Life's Short, Drink up!

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with a card I did for a sketch challenge over on Scrapbook.com.  If you ever need to get some inspiration they have different challenges every month that you can join in on.  I host 4-5 a month.  Here is a link to the challenges, there are so many I'm sure you will find one to join in on (no Blog or other social media required).  I hope to see you there!

Here is the Sketch Challenge I did:

Today I used an image I found on FB.  There are groups that do FREE AI images you can download and I love this one.  She just looks like she is having a great time!
I went into my stash and grabbed some papers that had hues that matched her hair and outfit and the wine of course.  I cut them into 1 1/2 inch strips, followed the sketch and adhered them down on a pink(ISH) card stock that was cut slightly smaller than an A2 card base and adhered that to a white card base to make it pop.  I added the image after rounding the corners.

I printed both the outside and inside sentiments from my printer.  added the inside sentiment with some sequins and DONE!  Easy peasy!
Do you use images from AI or digi stamps on your cards?

Thanks for hanging out with me and I hope I inspired you to make a card and put a smile on someone's face today.

Have a crafty day!

Sending Luck & Love

Hey guys, I'm up on the Blogger with a St. Patty's Card playing along with not one but two challenges this week.  Simon Says Stamp and Double Trouble Paper Crafting.  Both were a challenge and got me thinking outside the box.  To join in or to just get some inspiration click on the links I provided.

For Simon Says Stamp the challenge was WHEELS...so you had to make a card with wheels somewhere on it so when I saw this image I knew this would be the card to make.  For the Double Trouble Challenge boy those girls really make you work for it!  Here is the recipe:↓
So for my card I used a digi stamp I purchased off of Etsy...20 images for $2 and they are all St. Patty themed (click here for the shop).  I think this card hit on all of the 3,2,1 requirements and I am not mad at it.  I will say I put the pattern paper in the embossing folder wrong so I got a de-boss instead of an emboss but I still love the look and it still counts!

Thanks for hanging out with me and I hope I was able to inspire you to make a card and put a smile on someone's face.

Cheers! - Simon Says Blog Challenge

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger with a St. Patty's card doing a challenge for Simon Says Stamp Blog.  This weeks Challenge is all about Spritz and Splatters!  To join in on the fun or just to get some inspiration Clink on the link and head on over.

I started out with an A2  size white card stock trimmed down an 1/8th of an inch. I went into all of my spritzes and sprays and grabbed a bunch.  I had mowed lawn, wild honey, rusty hinge, and even a color I made up!  I spritzed a color and then heat set it and moved on to each of the other colors doing the same.  After it was completely dried I added some white acrylic paint splatters along with some white acrylic paint mixed with a  little mowed lawn and splattered that.

I printed out an image I purchased off of Etsy. I got 20 of the cutest St. Patty images that are perfect for doing quick cards!  Here is a link to her shop if you want to head over and check them out. I printed this image out on a 3x3 watercolor paper and I loved the look.  I die cut it with one of my stitched dies (I really don't even know what to call that shape).

I die cut the CHEERS! from an alpha die from Recollections. I used the same color card stock that I used for the sentiment to back the card and adhered it altogether. My final step was to add glossy accents to the top of the beer and to the letters in the sentiment.  It really was a fun card to make.  I love playing with inks.  Do you use sprays and splatters on your cards?

I so appreciate you hanging out with me today and I hope I inspired you to make a card and put a smile on someones face today.

Make it a crafty day!

Masculine Anniversary Card

Hi guys I'm up on the Blogger making a masculine Anniversary card.  I'm not gonna lie, I do like how this turned out.

This is for the following challenges: PIP Challenge 2606, and Creative Fingers Challenge #315, make sure you head over there and check out their fun challenges and all the inspiration!

I used a 6x6 paper pad from THE PAPER STUDIO called SUN BLEACHED FLORAL and I am in love with ALL the papers!  It's rare that I love all the papers in a paper bad but this one I do!

I picked a tiny floral pattern from the pad and then pulled out some 49 and Market rub ons.  The theme of the rub-ons was world/travel so I thought it was perfect for my sentiment YOU MEAN THE WORD TO ME.  Since I didn't have a stamp that said that I ran the A2 card panel through my printer.  I also wanted the words Happy Anniversary on it and since some how I don't have a stamp that says that I ran it through my printer again.

I die cut some stitched hearts I got from THE SCRAPPING COTTAGE and inked them with some lost shadow and adhered them to the front.  I wanted to match the blues from the rub ons so I reached into my stash and found a card stock that went perfectly with it.  I used a marker to put the lines under the sentiment HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and I was done.

I am in love with rub ons right now.  Do you use rub ons on your cards?

Well thanks for hanging out with me today, and if you would like to join in on any of these challenges be sure to click the links!

Inky Paws Challenge #248

Hey guys I'm up on the Blogger doing the Inky Paws Challenge #248.  I just love these colors and they are perfect for Valentines day!  Here is the link to the Challenge and all the rules, I hope you join in on the fun.

Since you have to use an Inky Paws product I went to their website and downloaded a FREEBIE (how super sweet for them to do that).  They had a few so after looking at them I decided to go with this sweet bird "YOU'RE TWEET!".

After downloading it I colored it in (and tried my best to do some shading but guys I am STILL learning).  I used SPECTRUM NOIR tri-blends in PV1/PV3/PV4 and PP1/PP4/PP6 and then I grabbed a Copic Marker RV42.

After I finished up with the image I used a cloud stencil with some Saltwater Taffy and Lilac (CTMH) and die cute a big heart these Newton's Nook heart dies are perfect!  I also pulled a stamp that had some cursive writing on it and stamped using the LILAC from CTMH on 2 different scraps that matched the colors of the Challenge.

I pulled out a piece of 6x6 paper with ALL the colors from the challenge on it (Brass & Bliss) and cut and 1/8 smaller than a A2 card.  I then reached into my stash and pulled another color from the challenge  to back it at an A2 size.

I glued everything down, popping up one of the smaller hearts, and called it done!

I'm not mad at it.  Don't forget to head over to the Challenge and see all the amazing inspiration for this challenge.

Thanks for hanging out with me today...have a crafty day!
