Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Hop 2025 - Hang in there, Taking one day at a time.

Hey guys, I'm here participating on the 2025 Coffee Lovers FallWinter Hop.  I am always so excited this time of year because this hop is full of amazing sponsors, talented card maker and fun prizes! If you have never participated I will leave a link to all the fun, inspiration and prizes to be had (click here).

I just got some Doodlebug bits and pieces from their Happy Healing collection and OMG I just love them...I'm a sucker for Doodlebug.

This card came together pretty quick.  I started off with some inks from CTMH (oh I so miss that company).  I started with Shortbread and then went to Sundance and then added some Twisted Citron Distressed Oxide, trying to pull in those shades of tan, yellow and green from the ephemera pieces.

I reached into my packs of Doodlebug and pulled 5 of them...that mug and lemons with the ginger was definitely a focal point so all I had to do was add a couple more pieces...the HOME REMEDIES and the FEELING THE LOVE was perfect to add in some more of the green.  I added the banner at the top and then pulled in some yellow to balance it out with the banner at the bottom.

After adhering it all down (I used some foam tape for the focal pieces) I then adhered that to an A2 card size base that pulled in some of the brownish tan of the ginger root.

How quick and easy was that?!  Who says a card has to be complicated to be awesome.  Thanks so much for hanging out with me and I hope you head over to the hop and find some inspiration.

Have a crafty day,

Kimberly

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop Fall/Winter 2023 ~ Winter Wishes

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by today!  Today I'm here doing a coffee themed card for the Coffee Loving Card makers Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2023!

I'm here with my 1st card and I'm so excited about it!  Why? Because it's my very first ink blending card using my new Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers!!  I'm always AMAZED at all the talent on their blog site and FB page and I've been dying to dip my toe in the blending and markers game so here goes!

For this card I started with some 110lb paper from Joann's (ParkLane) and it holds inks well.  I started off with my Tim Holtz Distressed Oxide in Salvaged Patina then went to Peacock Feathers and on to Broken China.  I wanted a gradient effect and I think I was able to pull it off.  I used a large make up brush from Amazon and it blended great!  I splattered on some Distressed Stain in Picket Fence for the snow.

I then stamped my Gnome image from Woodware (FRS864) out on the same ParkLane paper using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturnal.  I used my stamping platform to make sure I got a good image.

I then pulled out my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blends in TB1, TB4, Gb1, GB5 GB10 and EB7.
I used them for the following:
TB1=                    GB1=                            GB10=
TB4=                   GB5=                           EB7=

After inking the image I came back with a glitter brush pen from ScrapBook.com and used it on the snowman "hat" on top of the Gnome's head.

I also used some scrap from the ParkLane paper and cut a 2 pieces out of it to look like hills.  I ink blended it using peacock feathers.

I then stamped a coffee tumbler from an old stamp set I have from InkRd Stamps in VersaFine Clair Nocturnal heat set it and then used my Tri-Blend markers to color it.  I stamped a snowflake from the same Woodware stamp set with embossing ink on the sleeve of the coffee cup and used WOW embossing powder in Sparkling Snow and used my heat gun to make the magic happen!

I then used the WINTER WISHES stamp from the same Woodware stamp set on the base of the card, using embossing ink and the same WOW embossing powder in Sparkling Snow and watched the magic happen again.

I then assembled my card, using a little bit of foam tape on one of the hills and that's it.  I'm not gonna lie, for my first ink blending card, I'm not mad at it!

Thanks so much for taking the time to hang out with me today.  I hope you guys are enjoying the hop!

Chow for now,
Kimberly

Double Trouble Paper Crafting - Challenge 192 (FUN IN THE SUN)

Hey guys, I'm here doing a fun in the sun challenge from the gals over at Double Trouble Paper Crafting.  This is for June's Challenge #192, if you want to join in on the fun here is a link to their site.

This month's challenge from Thing 1 (such the Trouble Maker) is: "Sun Fun" and must include the following (but adding more is ok too)...

  1. Three (3) torn edges
  2. Two (2) colors
  3. (1) die cut, ephemera or punched item
I also went for Thing 2, who always Double Dares you with her sketches and a  TWIST from Thing 3 (she's so Twisted),  who wanted us to add a flip flop!  I mean what is summer with out flip flops?

I started out with some "hand made" white paper, I got this from Hobby Lobby and LOVE it...it's almost like a cotton paper that tears amazingly and blends easily with brushes.  I tore three strips on a slight angle and ink blended them with Squeezed lemonade, Salvaged Patina and Wild Honey (that takes care of the 2 colors plus I added one).

I then cut some "sand" colored card stock down to a A2 card size and adhered the inked strips to it leaving some of the card stock peeking through to give it a little bit of a beachy feel.  I reached into my stash of Jolee's and grabbed 2 beach themed packs of 3D stickers and created a beach vibe scene and then added the die cut phrase "FUN IN THE SUN".

This was a super fun card to make, I have really been enjoying ink blending lately and the summer colors just make me so happy!

Thanks for hanging out with me for this Challenge.

Christmas Gnomies!

Is it too early for Christmas?  Not according to any store you walk into today or last month so I'm up on the blog with a Gnome Christmas card I made for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Blog CHALLENGE  This is for Challenge #191, Gnome-Vember (that's cute right? Because you have to use Gnomes on your card...get itπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

Anyhoo, I have had this rubber slim cling stamp in my stash for about 2 years now and it's never been opened!  I love gnomes but I don't do many slim line cards so there it sat but when I came across this Hop I knew I had to use it!

The stamp is from STAMPENDOUS! and called SLIM WINTER GNOMES.  I do love their stamps, they are so crisp when you stamp them!
I stamped the image on 110lb white card stock and used Versa Fine Clair ink in nocturnal and then colored them in using mostly Spectrum Noir alcohol markers with a couple of Copic markers thrown in for good measure...only because I started off with Spectrum markers when I first started using alcohol markers before discovering Copic and I'm trying to get my marker stash built up so I only have a couple.

After coloring all the gnomes, I added some sparkle with a glitter pen on the snow flakes and the brim of the hats and the snow and then added the chip board sentiments from the 49 and Market Christmas collection I have.

I backed it on a red color textured card stock and green color textured card stock and I called it done!

I just discovered this group so it is the first time joining in on a hop.  Here is a link if you want to check them out and join in...I mean WHO doesn't LOVE GNOMES!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Kimberly
