I Like Big Cups & I Can Not Lie!

Here is another card for Day 7 of the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop.  I am having so much fun making these coffee/tea/hot cocoa themed cards this year.

This one is another stash busting card, oh that makes me so happy!  I used the print paper left over from another project as my base and I found another piece of card stock in my stash I had leftover from a CTMH collection (it was so pretty).  I stacked a black card stock on top and then found 2 journaling cards, from a Echo Park Coffee collection from 2023 I still had, and stacked one on top of the black card stock.  The one that says I LIKE BIG CUPS & I CAN NOT LIE I adhered to some foam adhesive and popped it up for a bit of dimension.  The girl holding the coffee I fussy cut from another card in the EP collection, I also popped her up on some foam adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from LET'S MEET FOR COFFEE stamp set from Brass and Bliss on to the last piece of that CTMH paper and popped it up on foam adhesive and called it done!

I was SO EXCITED to use everything from scraps!  I mean we pay good money for our products no need to waist them.

There is one more day to get your cards made and uploaded for this hop, it ends tomorrow, November 8th, 2024.  I will be uploading a couple of more tomorrow and that will be that for this year's Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop.  Here is a link if you want to play along.

Thanks for stopping my,

World Card Making Day

Hi guys thanks so much for stopping by my blog post today.  It's World Card Making day and it was so much fun to make these 2 cards!

So today I'm here as a Creative Ambassador for PIECE CRAFT LOVE and working on a couple of cards for World Card Making Day .  I'm going to tell you upfront that my card making skills are not that spectacular but I do love making them!  I am in awe of the card makers that I do follow and watching their ink blending techniques just blow my mind.  These are not that๐Ÿ˜ฌ

However, I did put 2 cards together, one being a coffee card because who doesn't like coffee?  The other is a sweet fall friendship card (funny enough, the sentiment came from the  coffee stamp set I used for the first card...I mean another great reason to love coffee, am I right)?

We will start with the coffee card (I don't think I can say this enough) because WHO DOESN'T LOVE COFFEE, or at least the smell of it!  I used a brown, heavy weight card stock, cut to an A2 size for one layer of the top of the card and stressed the edges.  I then adhered it to an A2 blank card (because that's how I roll, yes, I bought the pre-pack of A-2 cards that are already scored and everything๐Ÿ˜ฌ)

I then cut to size the paper from ECHO PARK, from their COFFEE collection, it was actually the B side of the 3x4 journaling cards (item # C0164002).  I loved the pink hues in it and ALL THE COFFEE CUPS!  I then distressed the edges and adhered it to the brown card stock, leaving just a peak of the brown card stock showing.

I grabbed another ECHO PARK paper called I LIKE BIG CUPS (now that that song is stuck in your head and the main reason I bought this sheet of paper) I swear I heard the other version of that song for hours after making this card!  Anyway, I fussy cut the one that says, well, I LIKE BIG CUPS AND I CAN NOT LIE! and backed it to the same brown card stock and inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in Walnut Stain. I popped it up on foam tape and adhered it to the card.

I then went into my new FAVORITE Coffee, Best Friends, sentiments from AlteNew called Friends Forever.  It has this huge to go cup stamp with a sleeve that I absolutely love and think it's the PERFECT size!  I stamped that using my Tim Holtz stamping platform onto a piece of GORGEOUS 6x6 paper from PRIMA MARKETING from their PUMPKIN AND SPICE collection with my Stayz On Black ink.  I then took the double hearts from the same stamp set and stamped the sleeve part of the cup.  I fussy cut it and then tucked it under the I LIKE BIG CUPS AND I CAN NOT LIE! cut apart.

I dug deep into my stash and found not one but 2 COFFEE washi-tape rolls that were perfect.  I added them to a piece of the brown card stock paper, adhered them down and then used some foam tape to pop it up off the card.  I left just enough room for the edges of the card to peak out along with some of the bottom of the card.

Here is how it turned out

Here are the link to some of the items I used from Piececraftlove.com The washi-tape was from a purchase from Michael's a while ago.
ADHISIVE -    ART GLITTER GLUE

Now, on to my 2nd card!  For this one I used my new FAVORITE paper and embellishment collection ever!  It's the PRIMA MARKETING, PUMPKIN & SPICE Collection.  Oh you guys this collection is gorgeous.  It's a non-traditional fall color collection that I am IN LOVE WITH! I've used it on layouts and cards and it is so versatile!

I cut the A2 size card-face from a paper out of their 6x6 paper pad.  Each paper has 4 of each of the patterns which is awesome!  It is super heavy paper and so easy to work with.

I pulled out my Tim Holtz stamp platform and I took out the SENTIMENT from the ALTENEW Friends Forever stamp set.  I actually bought the set because of this sentiment!  I used my Stayz On Black Ink and stamped the sentiment onto the pattern paper.

This peachy, washed out paper that I chose was just so pretty that I had to use it.  It matched so well with the coordinating ephemera paper...which I used to make this cute little "sign".  I backed it with the same paper I used for the coffee cup above (we waist no paper here, lol).  I popped it up on foam tape to give it some dimension.

I then found another piece of ephemera from the collection that was a sign that I didn't think I would use but loved the part that looks like it's hanging the picture so I tucked it underneath the KEEP CALM AND ENJOY FALL piece and then used some of that black and which checkered pattern paper from the same pad to cut 2 small flag-banners and tucked them under that cute saying.  I then grabbed the puffy stickers from this collection and just fell in love with the black and white checkered heart that matched the flag-banners under the "hanging picture" so I sued it along with the SO THANKFUL puffy sticker that I placed below the stamped sentiment!

Here is how it turned out

Here is all the fun goodness that I used from the Prima Marketing Collection.

Well guys, that's it.  These are my cards I made for World Card Making Day!  They aren't the fancy, color/shading/popping out cards that amaze me, but I think they are super cute!

2 page Vaca layout featuring Scrappin Happy Beer Friends Epoxy Flairs

Hey Newbies, I'm up on the blog doing a double page layout featuring these super awesome and funny BEER FRIENDS epoxy flairs from Scrappin Happy Studio!

She featured these in her new release last month and I just had to have them for this layout.  I was super excited to see them because I have been wanting to do this layout for a little while now. I will list the items I used at the bottom of this blog.

I'm also going to let you in on a little secret...I ran out of the perfect, summer time, drink time paper I've ever seen (retired paper from Stamping Up!) and I was so bummed out but was able to coordinate some other papers for the 2nd page and it worked out perfect!

Ok, first of all this is how it all starts in my head: I pull so much stuff from my stash and then I go from there.  It either works or I set it aside and pull from the remaining pile.  I mean, when I start on a layout I pull about half my stash (or at least the stuff that goes with the theme of the layout).

For the 1st layout, I started off with a piece of 12 x 12 bright blue card stock from a paper pad I had. I added some awesome summer time paper from Stamping Up! called Bubble and Fizz (unfortunately it is retired ๐Ÿ˜‘). I love all of the bright colors and fun bottles!
I printed the photos 3" x 2" and then backed them with 2 of the papers from the Bubble and Fizz collection.  I decided to use the 4 photos in a stacked way to show kind of a action flow to it.  I used 1/2 a page of the green bottled paper from the Bubble and Fizz collection and then used my very last piece of the big colorful bottled paper, from the Bubble and Fizz collection,  using the tear technique.  I laid it over the bottle paper, and then added the last strip of yellow and white paper that I had, behind it (guys, this is why I keep ALL of my scraps).  I added a torn 12 x 2" fizzy green paper from the same collection and then I had just enough of the small bright colored bottle paper left to do a 4 x 2" piece poking out to give it a pop of color.

I found some really cool chipboard stickers that had lemons and a SQUEEZE scripted word which was perfect for her puckered lemon face๐Ÿ˜‚.  I also found an epoxy word LAUGH and a sticker of a girl in sunglasses.  All of these went perfect with the pictures and of course that  BEER MODE ON epoxy from Scrappin Happy Studio!  I managed to find a puffy sticker black palm tree and added that.  I had the VACA word in white and backed it on some of the same bright blue card stock that I used for the layout.

I had some foam alphas (thanks to an awesome crafty friend) and spelled out the word MODE and backed it with a piece of the fizzy green paper in the collection, and gave it a little tear action at the top just to blend it in.   The title I cut from a cut apart sheet I had, backing it with the fizzy green paper and a strip of yellow to tie it all together and added another LIVE, LOVE, BEER epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio!  That finishes the 1st page of this 2 page layout.

The 2nd page I didn't have all of the same papers from that collection so I had to improvise.  I did have the green bottle paper so I measured it and lined it up with the first page. Instead of the bright colored bottle paper that I tore and laid on top I was able to find a bright colored camera paper and did the same tear technique and adhered it to the green paper.  I also didn't have any more of the yellow and white paper so I used a strip of the side 2 of the green bottle paper (which was the fabulous reddish/pink with white swirly lines and some green dots).  I also didn't have any more of that cool small bright bottle paper so I used the same size (approximately) of the bright camera paper.  I was able to find the I LOVE THIS PLACE puffy sticker from the same collection as the palm tree and used that.  The pineapple chip board came from the same collection as the SQUEEZE scripted word as did the JUST CHILLIN! I used the epoxy HAPPY word and TOGETHER word (both coming from the same collection as the  LAUGH word) and found this awesome green GOOD TIMES WITH GOOD FRIENDS sticker as well as the I'M FEELIN IT sticker.  The FUN MEMORIES came from the same collection as the palm tree and the cool beach jeep was from a stash from 2008!!!  Lastly, the WILD SIDE round chipboard sticker is from a collection called Jungle Safari (just sayin, just because it came in a collection of safari animals doesn't mean you have to use it for that๐Ÿ˜ฌ).

Well, there you have it!  Thanks for stopping by and reading all about this 2 page layout and these super fun BEER EPOXY FLAIRS from Scrappin Happy Studio!
